Expert Witness

I have more than 20 years of experience working in the automotive engineering field, specifically on internal combustion engines, exhaust aftertreatment and fuels. I have published numerous journal papers and technical papers in these areas.
I was elected Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers for “For distinguished leadership and impact in advancing the understanding of fuel effects on combustion, particulates, and emissions controls; for exemplary service to and leadership within SAE; and for the development and leadership of well-recognized educational programs for working engineers and executives.”
I have co-authored a book on Automotive Emissions Regulations and Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems for SAE International, as part of their Core Title series. The books has 16 chapters and 455 pages. https://www.sae.org/publications/books/content/r-477/
I have significant experience with internal combustion engines and their integration with aftertreatment and into the vehicle through my work, teaching, research and experimental investigations of IC engines as noted above. In addition, I have worked on my personal engines and exhaust systems.

Number of cases and actions

I have worked on 3 legal cases, one reviewing patents and three as an expert witness. Two cases were in the US, one case is international (UK courts)
I have prepared 2 expert reports and one rebuttal (to another expert witness) report.
I have given 2 depositions.
I have testified at trial in Federal Court.

Case work

I reviewed more than 70 patents for determining the novelty of an exhaust aftertreatment device.
Worked with Michael Best & Friedrich on a patent infringement case in Federal Court.
Currently working with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP (London, England)
